You're not thinking straight. New at the top means you don't have to scroll to the bottom, through a billion posts to see the most recent stuff. Give it a try.

You don't have to scroll thru old crap...just tap the red "new" box and it takes you right to the oldest of the new posts and you read down to the newest new posts.

You read books from the back to the front?
