I'm guessing that he re-signs here in the offseason. Doolittle, Holland, Glover, Grace, and Suero should make the team. The last two spots are probably best fit for an open competition between Cordero and Austin Adams and one FA signing (FA signing would be a lock). Herrera on a pillow deal because of his injury could make sense, and there is some merit to holding onto Justin Miller.

Can Glover like ..... not?

What does Glover have that Cordero doesn't, other than a career ERA over 5?

Glover has swag and the undying love of certain WNFF members.

I think he pretty much killed that love after he came back from the DL :?

Cordero has a lively arm and looks like he has good potential going forward as well. I imagine Rizzo will bring in another "been there, done that in the late innings" vet or 2 over the winter but I like the idea of the pen as a whole getting younger which is the direction many other good teams have gone in.

So did Armando Benitez. FP claims he sees movement on the 98 mph heater. Must need my set adjusted.

#Dodgers acquiring Ryan Madson from #Nationals, source tells The Athletic. Return not yet known. Claim of Madson first reported by @kengurnick.

People now saying it's a prospect. Doubtful of any good return, but better than nothing.

Or that his numbers in the minors and his stuff shows he can be an effective reliever. At least if he can try to stay healthy and pitch a full season there is hope.

It's the 96MPH slider for me. They've rushed him and quite possibly broke him as well.

Andrew Istler. He’s not in the dodgers top 30 but still might be an ok pickup. 2.37 ERA, 0.89 WHIP as a reliever who can sometimes go multiple innings. 25 years old. Played mostly in AA this year with a few games in AAA.

Dodgers taking all of madson 1.1 million remaining salary.

Glover is starting to remind me a bit of Cole Kimball. Granted, Glover is more impressive than Kimball was (Better stuff and command) but Kimball basically pitched his arm off and never recovered.

Bet we see him in September. Good trade, this is a guy who can help us immediately and play a role in 2019.

Solis is back.  That we got anything for Madson at this point is amazing.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but...I believe you also said that Gott should have made the team out of ST as well...

varoadking, I have never been on the Gott wagon unless it was rolling he and Fedde out of town. Both can throw hard and straight which is the way the ball.leaves the bat of the batter they pitch agsinst.

Williams has pitched all of 2 and two thirds innings. His stuff is good. Perhaps we should all slow down on kicking him out, considering our track record of giving up on relievers
