Ah, you can sign up for an account without giving any personal information whatsoever.   You're not "feeding the beast"!

I'm not seeing how that can be seen as any worse than paying money and sharing your viewing habits with your tv provider who is probably one of Comcast, Verizon, Dish or At&t.

OT   Though I accept your points on monitoring my viewing habits (let alone my online habits) by Verizon, I've always thought FB was a shady deal.    No particular reason, maybe just an old guy detectin' an aroma.          I've always thought Rum Diary was nails when it used the line we can "smell the bastards".

Let's hope this loss rocks them a bit.  They blew a 2 run lead in the 9th and then fall in the 14th.

It’s exactly what statistics say will happen.

Philly has won many 1 run games. They are due to lose some. Also they’ve won despite their below average bullpen.

That's  ... that's not at all what the statistics say. At all. There is no BABIP version of one run games.  Repeatedly winning one run games is usually a sign of a well coached team and a good pitching staff.

Their bullpen is about average and it's probably getting better after bad May and June. They were the best pen in July.

You’d love it to mean that lol

But it doesn’t

Statistics say majority of all teams in a season will finish at or around .500 in games decided by 1 run.

They are a below average bullpen because of their inconsistency. You can’t say July was real, the other 3 aren’t.

Neshek getting healthy has helped them. But having a rookie closer will hurt.

The one run ball games will probably start to go against them. But that's not for sure. There are always one or two teams that fall outside the bell curve.

100%

If they can win the division and win 90+ games like that then they deserve it.

No I'm not saying anythings for sure. I am saying the odds are against them.

You can sign up with a fake name and birthday.  At worst, you get purged in a few months, but I doubt it.

That's probably the best way if you want to watch the ballgame.

if you're concerned about facebook tracking you, you probably want to clear your cache before and after the game since they're notoriously unconcerned with not tracking you after you log out

It's why I don't turn on my cellphone often.    What makes 'em think we wanna communicate with 'em.     :)

That's good advice in general. They are not the only ones tracking.

That's what I did. I quit FB about 5 years ago and haven't missed it for a moment. But I'm also addicted to watching my teams, so burner account it is!

I'm not the one concerned.  I just go through life assuming everything I do online is available for whoever cares to do whatever with it.

Nats have a pair against the Barves today....

He's there ever been a "must sweep" double header?

Winning 3 out 4 should be the realistic goal.  It doesn't matter which games they win.  It would be nice if we didn't have starters #7 and 8 for half the games of this series.

Maybe not, but this team has to win three out of four against the Braves to be even remotely competitive.
