Should in place of Goodwin. I also have Sanchez coming north until Murph is ready
If they go with 4 OFs instead of 5, then they can carry 7 IFs (Adams, Sanchez, Reynolds, Difo, Turner, RZ, Ant).
What do you consider Kendrick in this equation?
That's what Im saying. Even if you count Kendrick as an OF, Goodwin still isn't on the team--and I don't see that happening. Theyve been referring to him as the 4th OF all Spring.
Kendrick, Goodwin, Adams, MI, and Montero are your 2018 opening day bench. Assume Difo is temporary Murphy, then MI is either Sanchez or Reynolds until Murphy is back.
You and I are saying the same thing. My comment was that both Sanchez and Reynolds won't be on the team. One will have to be in the minors and to your point, that could depend on options. Reynolds feels like he's been around too long to have options left and Sanchez was called up and down several times last year if I recall.
