No I don't think they all got together and said "no one can hire him!" I just don't think any owner wants the headache that will come with him.

that, and folks still remember how awful he was his last year in the league.

So the guys on ESPN this morning were saying there's speculation that the Patriots may be positioning themselves to trade up to take Josh Allen.  They absolutely fleeced the Rams for Cooks.

The next time the ESPN guys are right about the Pats will be the first.

it would make more sense for them to take a project QB in the 2nd round, there are lots to choose from.   Most of the mock drafts have QBs going with the first 4 picks, though I'd think it tough to choose Mayfield or Allen over Barkley (depends on if Cleveland trades the #4 pick)

It would've made more sense for them to keep Jimmy G., but craziness prevailed.

They would have had to franchise him- that seems pretty expensive for a backup

I suppose Kraft told BB, "look, even if we franchise him this year, he walks next.  Only guy who was tagged twice at QB was Cousins, and he eventually walked.  Jimmy G isn't starting until Tom says he's done, and I can't see that for a few more years.  Plus, his agent is Brady's, so he's out to max out both contracts.  We can't match what this kid can get as an FA, so get what you can."  Of course, they should have realized it when they still had Brisset and dealt JG last spring.

they should have put him up for the highest bidder before the start of last season.

Maybe they should focus on defense. The offense didn't seem to be the problem in the super bowl.

And he won't have nearly the impact on ticket sales and fans that Kap would.

He had a good 2-3 year stretch but for the most part he's been nothing but the usual hype that comes with playing for the cowboys.
