A rather nice bike line has developed beneath Whitehurst in Georgetown. Two directional lanes dedicated to bikes, separate from peds (sidewalk) and cars (road with parallel parking in between). Years ago I used to ride this street daily during DC/Rockville bike commute after dark, and it was always terrifying (I say that as one who was a bike messenger in a former life). I very rarely ride on bike lanes these days, so this was quite a shock. Well done DC DoT or whomever was behind this. Felt like Amsterdam
