An odd time to fire a coach. They may lose this year's recruits and next year's. And then too late to make inroads with new players.

Seems he has had these health issues for years. Almost sounds like he quit and not fired.

Heard that on my out and about this morning.     Listened to Ferrall on the Bench last night after the Nats' broadcast.    They got into the Louisville situation pretty deep.     They didn't have a choice this time.

There may be a clause in the contract he can be fired with cause and not get paid

But not being able to perform the duties of the position could be cause.  Different than having a contract protection from the school deciding it just wanted a different coach.

They dominated the 15 minutes or so I saw. Good shooters on woffard and they went something like 19-22 in free throws.

Saw the last few minutes.  They played well.  They also have beaten Georgia Tech but soundly beaten by other major schools they have played. Assume they will be a contender in the Southern conference.  But this was their March Madness moment come early.

Amazing armed forces bowl. Army scores a td with 18 seconds left and goes for a two point conversion to take the lead instead of the kick to tie. Then a game saving tackle on the SDSU 40 on the kickoff to save the game.  Go Army, Beat Navy!

I watched a large segment of that game today.    Ya just knew they were goin' for two.    They loaded up to the left and went right with the big boys leadin' the sweep.     Vintage Schwartzkopf deception from Desert Storm.    Go Army!     Beat Navy  !

"The strategy drew on the lessons of a hundred past battles, from Hannibal's deception and defeat of the Romans at Cannae to the D-Day landing in 1944, during which the Germans were so convinced that the allies were coming ashore at Calais that they did not reinforce their small garrison at Normandy until several allied divisions had already hit the beach."
