I own stock on Samaje Perine Island, but that stock was dependent on him being the #2.

Time to pray for Christ Thompson's health.

At least Jay Gruden can go back to being the king of Orlando after he gets fired when they go 2-14. Can’t wait to see Little Danny Snyder get his dick hard at the press conference introducing Jim Tomsula as the new head coach.

the best pre-season preview out:

All of those failures exist to distract you from the much deeper human failures that go on behind the scenes. The Skins exist so that Skin Jung Un (thank you) can drink Crown Royal on private airplanes and so Bruce Allen can get loaded in his office and so any number of hunchbacked goblins passing through can cozy up with Snyder and ram their hands up a cheerleader’s skirt.

The Redskins front seven looks sick. Best we've had since Gibbs I. Even better than that first Gregg Williams season. Back four worries me. Just not much proven quality outside of Swearinger and Norman. The defense started really strong last season before Foster, Allen, and Compton went down. Brown was a big re-sign. The down four of Payne, Allen, Kerrigan, and Preston Smith last night was beautiful to watch on a couple passing downs.

Still not sure about offense. They ran the heck out of ball early last season before the starting O-Line went to heck. The receivers can't be worse than last season. Just not possible. I am writing in Vernon Davis as started so that Reed can't break my heart again. I don't like getting my hopes about the health at either tackle spot.

Nice to see the pre-season hype train working, maybe combined with the number of seats they removed, they’ll actually sell out games again.

My problem is I like the Nats. I love the Redskins. I laugh at people who take the Nats too seriously, but then every Redskins game is just short of life and death for me.
This will be the 15th season I have followed them closely and it has been a rough ride.

He didn't even have the misfortune of following them from '99-'01, which is probably my single most frustrating experience as a sports fan.

I'm lucky enough to have ridden through the glory years of '82-'92, and it was so great.  From time to time I still go back to watch old clips of Redskins shows they used to have on weeknights on the local tv stations like.  Redskins Sidelines and Redskins Magazine were hosted by the local sportscasters at the time.....Glenn Brenner, George Michael, Frank Herzog, and they would have a live studio audience and with a guest Redskin or two.  The sports talk radio only consisted of Ken Beatrice on WMAL 630 at nights.  Magical times indeed.  It's incredible how terrible the franchise has become.

I've been a Redskins fan since I was a kid (the George Allen days).

Why do you sound shocked or something?  Anyone who lived through that era knows what a dagger it was.  The '99 looked pretty good but ended with a horrific choke.  The 2000 team should have been even better but folded like a cheap suit in the second half.  Finally got rid of Norv and brought in Martyball, only for little Danny/"Skin Jong-Un" to fire him after going 8-3 in the last 11 games (just like Joe Gibbs in '81 before winning the next season's Super Bowl, mind you).

And as if it couldn't get worse, they brought in Spurrier after that.  That was just painful.

Not my choice for a few reasons. At least he is coming in with an unguaranteed contract. I expect he will make the team, but if he looks slow next couple weeks team can let him go.

I expect things stay them and Kelley is starter and Thompson is the X factor.
