New Jersey and Westchester are not New York City boroughs.

tell that to people who live in Hoboken and New Rochelle

Of course New Jersey isn't, it's a different state altogether.  He did forget Newark though.

Should have turned the sarcasm dial up a bit more.    My bad.

Sorry, mitlen. I didn't read that as a joke originally. :|

I consider myself a pretty nice person, especially as an anonymous, talking head on a baseball forum.

No harm, no foul.    :)     Now if I had originally written Westchester (County), I could understand the confusion.   It is a "suburban" area of NYC in NY state.    I figured everyone knew no other locality (city or state) would claim NJ as its own.     ;)

Some of us got it.  Some of us've got Mathguy's sarcasm detector thing going.

They have been trying for years to quietly sneak Camden across the river for Pennsylvania to have to deal with...no luck.

Camden can very likely be pulled out to sea and let to sink. All those people in Collingswood would love their new Delaware River-front property values!

Weren't Pedro and Vlad super popular in Montreal? I just think baseball was in a different spot 15 years ago than it is today.

Yes indeed.  It’s a wonder why the Nationals do not embrace their greatest ever hitter, Vladimir Guerrero.  I had suspected that they were waiting for him to retire / no longer associate with the Los Angeles Angels (who relocated from Anaheim as we did from Montreal) before officially honoring him with a retired number and such... but he retired years ago now.  The silence from the organization has been deafening.

Neither did Dawson, Raines or Carter.

The Nationals might as well embrace Alex Rodriguez as Vladimir Guerrero.  Neither played for the Nationals.

I'm afraid they opened that door with Expos (who never played for the Nats) in the Ring of Honor.    Let's not give 'em any ideas about ARod.   :)

It was already a joke when they began with players who never wore the Nationals uniform but then adding Pudge and Werth. :wtf:

Zimmerman should've been the first.

And for such a minor display of emotion. Umpires are douche bags.

The Twins don’t honor Walter Johnson. The Rangers don’t honor Frank Howard. I feel bad for Expos fans but it really makes no sense to carry their records to the Nats.
