Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports reports that the Nationals have inquired on both Greg Holland and Wade Davis.

The Nationals had already been connected to Davis and now they've been mentioned as a potential landing spot for both of the top free agent closers. Heyman notes that Washington "tried to get Holland last year," with one source saying general manager Mike Rizzo "badly wanted to sign him to solve their closing issue." It's pretty clear that, as well as Sean Doolittle pitched for the Nats last season, the club is looking to enhance their ninth inning situation.
