Fire the manager now. How can anyone possibly justify again starting Werth and batting him 2nd? How incompetent does one have to be to outright refuse to make a change when the 2 games you won involved using Lind and benching Werth?

He's incapable of thinking. The line that has been fed to the press is that this is the lineup that they used all year. That's complete bunk because Werth played 70 games with 289 PA and an OPS of .715. It's inexcusable that he's been provided with at least 2 better veteran players in Kendrick and Lind and two better young players in Robles and Goodwin. Add in Difo and Werth is the 6th best option in LF.

It's very disappointing.

With Hendricks starting I believe it's really up to Murphy and Harper to produce tonight. I think they both have two hits in the series. That lack of production has to change. Not likely that we are going to shut them out.

Maybe Rusty will pull him after 1 PA and let him have a standing ovation from the fans like he did the final game of the season. Not sure it is a good idea but thought I would put it out there.
