Stras with 22 strikeouts in 14 innings. 0.00 ERA
That's truly astounding.

Do they really fly an L flag after a loss? :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical:

Yes. TBS showed it just after the game.

We could have swept the Cubs in 3 games, if mitlen had shown up to create the Game 1 GDT, NatNasty took Game 2, and RobDibblesGhost took Game 3.

Hopefully without all of the bittersweet trappings of Game 4 2012

Sure, but this one is sweet. Lots of redemption for my boy Stras. They can't take that away from him.

absolutely lovely.  but, i'm sure like many, that was a four-hour game, plus, and it just wears you down--even with such an obvious, great result !

and so now, with game five, I am desperate to see some actual management moves--namely, 'werth' has to be sitting; and even with trea playing better, I still would love to see MAT moving up in the order--just think of the reaction when he would lead off the bottom of the first.

In the olden days of day games and before internet. , they flew it so commuters on the train could see the result.

THAT is why you give the ball to a stud like Stras in an elimination game a little under the weather or not.  Adrenaline can carry you past a little sickness and you are even more focused mentally because of it.

Redemption for MAT too.

Michael A. Taylor has the highest Batting Average on the Nationals in the playoffs at .278 and the highest OBP for starters with .385. Zimmerman is second with a .188 BA, but Rendon's OBP is .294.

MAT should lead off, and bat Turner 8th.

Strasburg (LaFleur) you glorious bastard.  What a gem.  Should be 2-0 in the series.

And Michael A--at least someone is hitting.

Stras's post game presser on MLBN was a thing of beauty. How articulate and classy. I don't know how you can not love the guy.

Turner got it going today. He's still 1.
Taylor should be ahead of Werth and the C spot
