I really hope they didn't make this decision due to pressure from fans and media lol

I really hope we don't hear fans and the media claiming credit for it.

I think so also. He looked fine in the dugout Monday and then sick Tuesday and better Wednesday. Possible that he could have had a stomach virus that passed quickly but think Rizzo and Dusty played the media.

Seems a little chaotic in the clubhouse. Maybe that will kickstart the offense? ;)
The offense can't get much worse. That's for sure.

I think he's a Mets fan or other troll.  If read as sarcastic, many of his posts are pretty funny.
He's Mike Rizzo trolling the board.

Listened to Rizzo's press conference.  Strasburg had flu-like symptoms, needed an IV, antibiotics and anti-inflammatory...showed up today and felt much better which is why they changed it today.

He also said "all hands on deck" today.

This was all orchestrated by FP. Since he isn't doing the games he had to come up with a way to make an excuse for the team's piss poor play.

Listened to G & D on my ride around today and FP was on.    They went through a litany of stuff.   Your comment matches my first thought.

They look like idiots.   I heard Rizzo in the car at lunch bumbling and stumbling trying to come up with a coherent message, this was a colossal screw up.

anti-biotics don't work on the flu. or mold.  So stupid the nonsense coming out about this.

They don't work on the flu, but they do work on bacterial infections that can cause similar symptoms, which is part of why they're so over-prescribed.

Yeah, but everything that causes flu-like symptoms isn't the flu. And I seriously doubt he has influenza, you don't usually get better from that in a day. And I am certain that he doesn't have a fungal infection or anything that would be caused by mold spores. That would be more serious and rare in healthy people in their 20's. Mold can cause allergic reactions which is probably what the other Nats had.

If a guy came to me coughing with a high fever and other symptoms and it was imperative that he get better quicker, I'd probably do tests, start antibiotics and fluids and then pull back as it became apparent what it was or wasn't. I'd do exactly what they said they did.

I don't know if Stras get's IV fluids before his starts, but if he doesn't normally, then the fact that he spent the past 1-2 days getting tanked up might make it less likely he cramps.

Because of the rainout, does this still counts as the second day after travel, meaning the offense will be even worse?

I'm just hoping that Stras actually takes the mound and this isn't a double bluff and Roark is really pitching.

Here's a prediction for you. Nats eek out the win tonight.

SP for game 5 is Max. That's because it's on Friday after a rainout tomorrow night at Nats Park.

We still find a way to lose game 5.

Doesn't really matter what Dusty does or doesn't do if Turner and Murphy and Harper and Zim don't hit.

It does if he again refuses to use his bench with two excellent hitters and one who hit well this year.
