My guess, since almost everyone on this team, including Dusty, are slow learners, is that the line up stays with the same pathetic duffers, hoping that some miracle will take place...like suddenly these clowns are able to discern balls from strikes....not likely after what we've seen in the play offs and in so many of the final games of the season...the lower and more outside the pitch, the more likely they will dive for it, hoping to be the hero. Our pitchers cannot bunt effectively, hit-and-run as an option has been used maybe  3 times during the entire season (so why start now?) and while Dusty and other managers are reluctant to sacrifice just to move runners along (assuming there will be any!), a strike out moves no one anywhere except back to the dugout, staring at the scoreboard (why do whiffers do that after striking out? Are they hoping that their futile efforts will be reviewed and then overturned?)...as so many DC sports teams have done in the past, I expect the usual choking, while many of these overpaid underachievers will tell the Post tomorrow that the Nats are really the best team.....and that none of their tepidly hit balls landed in a lucky spot  (all two of them???)  yadda yadda yadda...

It’s not like we’ve scored only 2 runs in 26 innings is it?

Stick with the same 8!

If you fancy ending the season tonight.

If he trots the same lineup out there tonight then this will be Dusty's swan song.

Still no Nats lineup.

Dusty can’t bring himself to do what is necessary?

If he doesn't change the lineup at all, then this should be his last game.

And I'm a big Dusty supporter.

Everyone drop down 1?

Rusty figures that of he moves him there, he might not make the last out of the game?

He's been an on-base machine in this series.

Eh. This is the lineup that mashed a lot of the year. Maybe there is something to Rendon saying he likes batting 6th.

I just don't understand the insistence on having Werth in the line up?

he didn't even have a bad game yesterday, certainly not compared to his teammates. I wonder if this faith in him is coming from higher than Dusty, though?

It wouldn't surprise me much if the weather is bad (and its likely is going to be) if Lackey is a last minute substitution for Arrieta.  Lackey's the kind of mediocre pitcher we can't hit.  Well all pitchers are that in the PS.

Not with better options on the bench   ....   defensively and offensively.

Honestly, I'd rather watch us get smoked than watch Lackey deal death one broken down fastball after another.

I could totally see that.  He just seems to be a major liability in the field at this point.

I'd almost rather see him used as a PH late than playing LF all game.

Future radar I looked at shows the rain rolling in around 4-4:30 central time. And then getting heavy about an hour later.
