I didn't think he could reach it. Werth stopped running.

My eyes say they all let up.   That's why I felt MAT should have said, "Get the hell out of the way."

I’m so sick of this teams inability to hit in October. It’s absolutely pathetic. Not even that mad at the pitchers. They continue to show up and our bats can’t do crap. P A T H E T I C.

And yes we win tomorrow only to lose Game 5 after blowing an early lead.
Last year they hit. And the pitching failed. This is more like 2014. 2012 was a full team effort.

Turner hitting .000
Harper .167
Rendon .100
Murphy .091
Werth .100
Wieters .000

Zimmerman and Taylor are both hitting .250.

You just know tomorrow's crappy lineup will be the exact same.  Standard loss.

Nationals - Top 9th
    W. Davis pitching for CHC, Zobrist in left field. Báez at second base.
Murphy struck out swinging.
Zimmerman grounded out to second.
Werth popped out to first.

GAME OVER.

Dusty stinks. Taking max out is one thing but for solis. Lol then to use oli freaking Perez to Rizzo when you could have had kintzler vs contreras. Then hey let's have bum ass jayson werth end the game and not hit Lind. He is a crappy manager
Max should not have started the inning.  Everything else cascaded from that mistake.  Hamstring fine or not, he wasn't in good enough pitching shape to try to go 7.   We should have went with our standard 7-8-9 pitrchers.

Our top 5 hitters went 1-20 today.  There really is no looking further than that.  They are scared in the playoffs.  Scared weaklings in the batters box.  Just a complete and total waste of time even to play the series at all.

We have a guy who is 5-10 against that SP. He didn't play.

We have a guy who sparked the one good offensive inning we've had in 3 games. He didn't play.

We have a guy who is better defensively than our starting SS and isn't 0-14 leading off. He didn't play.

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. The clueless imbecile will probably trot out the same crap again tomorrow. There's a reason why nobody else wanted him and he was willing to be our sloppy seconds even for a lowball offer.

Yea. You have to go all out in that situation.

Pretty much this. If you can't hit at all, you can't win.

I actually still agree with that. The cubs committed 4(!) errors and the Nats managed 1 run. This is on the players.

It would be pretty hard for MAT to have any idea if the other guys had a chance or not though.  Maybe Werth should have been screaming it's all Taylor's

And a very good third one.

Any other team would have won the series  3-0 but not this team lead by an brain dead manager

IMO the Nats had no business winning this game...if Schwarber catches an easy fly ball the Nats are shut out for the second time in three games.  Dusty is bad, but this offense is worse.  Can't win if you can't score.  Not very optimistic about tomorrow, the curse seem to be going strong 10/12/12.......

was Maddon a crappy manager when he made lineup changes after a huge win and then used the wrong reliever i didnt see people saying he was crap

Dusty is an excellent manager the gm is just ok not willing to get the final pieces and the hitters have vanished = this is not on Dusty

How can you put this one on mike rizzo when the bullpen guys he went out and got werent even used besides kintzler, who was lifted after he was dealing? And we had the lead!

Or would it be more of a thing that Dusty has been historically known for? Bullpen misuse?

it is not Dusty he cant get hits

he cant pitch the same relievers day after day

Solis has been great for awhile

it happens EVERY game 1 team loses
even Maddon the Genius made moves that didnt pan out

blaming Dusty is ridiculous

Well then, maybe the geriatric oaf on the bench should try some different hitters.

Also on dusty. If he was only going to have Max  on a super short leash why not pinch hit for him in the 6th.  Why give away outs like that.

Questionin' OF positioning.    MAT should have had it.    Ray ain't gonna go Marge Schott on Ted and Mark.

He'll say because it was a no hitter. That's a stupid reason considering how wild Max was in the two previous innings.
