Ray Knight analyzed Hendricks in the post game MASN show. He throws 85 mph, mostly pitches outside and the ball comes in low and sinks. Ray demonstrated that you counter this by stepping closer to the plate and more towards the front of the plate, so you swing early while the ball is still up, and won't be so far outside.
