Is Austin Adams a keeper?

Didn't I bet someone he'd have a lower ERA than Kelley?

What a depressing end to a very good regular season.   I thought this could be the year,  and am still hoping for it but all signs point to a major failure.   Seems to be a cursed franchise.   And that can last for multiple decades.   I really hope I'm wrong.

I thought Harper would be the last to come out.

That's the only shtick he does that I think is funny.

All the more reason to celebrate with a drink  :)

Latest from PIT @ WSH

Of all the cheers at Nats Park today - and there've been plenty as several starters have been ceremonially removed to standing ovations - the loudest might have come as Bryce Harper scored from first on an Adrian Sanchez double, his helmet flying off in trademark fashion. Between that and a pair of hits and a walk, Harper - who came off the DL Tuesday after six weeks out - looks as close to playoff-ready as he's looked yet.
Eddie Matz, ESPN Senior Writer

Big ovation at Nats Park for Anthony Rendon, who gets subbed out at the start of the fifth inning. Rendon finishes with a .301 average, 25 bombs (including a three-run shot today), and 100 ribbies. Entering today, his 6.9 fWAR was second in the NL behind Giancarlo Stanton

Max Scherzer, who left Saturday's start with a leg injury, said his MRI showed a "minor tweak" to his right hamstring. The Nats ace, who was wearing a sleeve around his upper leg, said his status for Game 1 of the NLDS is uncertain.

I'd hardly call it a game. More a slapstick rendition of baseball.

Lobaton is garbage.

That's 48,261 runners the Nats have stranded this game.

Not sure what the big deal is with Werth. We'll have at least three more games to watch him misplay flyballs.

Nats end the regular season, hopefully we can end the playoff season too. :)
