Damn, if they're this good now, imagine how good Taylor and Turner will be once they get their 100 ABs in.

Nice swing by Taylor.

And then the bone head play.

It did look like it went back to center.     Looked like one of my drives.

Glad FP was able to school us on the postseason roster...

OK, it's not easy to be a great base runner, but it is damn easy to be a competent base runner. I don't understand why MAT struggle on the bases so much.

It wouldn't shock me if it's some sort of undiagnosed ADD/ADHD.

Maybe it is diagnosed.    Then again, maybe he just has his head up his ass.

Wouldn't surprise me. My son has a severe case of ADHD but he can hyper focus at times. You would think being on the bases in front of thousands would get him focused.

I'm familiar with it as well.

I have ADD and the hyper focus comes if I'm interested in a topic. It's why I'm cruising through a PhD. It's also why I barely got out of high school and flunked out of undergrad twice. There's actually a great TED talk by Stephen Tonti about how ADD/ADHD works, basically calling it a different type of cognition.

Yep. Exactly the same with my son. When he's interested in a topic, he's on it like nobody's business.

Baseball is not exactly brain surgery. I once sat next to Michael Morse at a lunch and let's just say it was not exactly a riveting conversation.

Werth would disagree.    :)    I wonder if baseball players take the Wunderlic test.

One of the nice things about tonight's GDT is I haven't been listening to FP too much.

He lost me when he said a "gunner" sits in the front bubble of a B-29.
