538 has the Nats as a 17% chance to win the world series ahead of the Dodgers at 16%--Indians are the favorite at 26%.  I clicked on the link to those odds at the end of a 538 article that said no one should get too excited about either the Indians or Dodgers' streaks?? Seems like they are contradicting themselves.

Ah, read off these games, starting in late July, 1959. Here is a fine game that Camilo Pascual pitched, a 7 - 0 shutout of the KC A's. Bob Allison hit his 24th home run, and the Nats were at 43 wins and 46 losses. Watch what happens next and next and onward. Yes, the 1959 Senators broke a major league record.

Nowadays mostly I have kids songs and nursery rhymes in my head.

The other day in the hospital, my grand nephew wouldn't go to sleep   ...  he was in for some problems.   No one could put him to sleep.    I picked him up and sang "Pony Boy" to him.     Poof.   Out like a denki light.    It's been a "Pony boy" week.

It's a traditional lullaby that folks (including Bruce among others) have done.     I remember my Grandfather singin' it to me.      I usually cross my legs and put the grand nephew on my foot (like riding a pony) but since he was hooked up to tubes, I just put him on my chest and rocked in front of the window.     Boom  ....  out.    I hope it wasn't my singin'.

You missed Michael A diving for a liner and missing, as it rolls to the fence.  Fortunately the runner was lollygagging and Lind backed him up so it was only a double, but I was having flashbacks.
