Arizona Fall League - 2017
« Topic Start: August 30, 2017, 12:07:38 AM »
The Nats are sending the following players to the Mesa Solar Sox:

Victor Robles, OF
Dakota Bacus RHP
Jimmy Cordero RHP
Kyle McGowin RHP
Austen Williams RHP
Taylor Gushue C
Kelvin Gutierrez INF

Other than Robles, not exactly our top guys.

I'm a tiny bit disappointed they aren't sending Soto, for the reps and the challenge.

Soto is hurt, isn't he? Had hamate surgery in late July.

Hamate recovery is 4-8 weeks, so lucky for us its the Arizona Fall League.

Anyways, I assume he'll play in the Winter Leagues somewhere so it probably doesn't matter too much.

Not surprisingly Robles made the all star team. Haven't looked at the full roster yet so not sure if any others made it. All star game is this Saturday on MLB network at 8 pm.

This article has the link to full rosters. Don't see any other Nats on it.

Just a reminder that the Arizona League all star game is on. Robles is the first guy they mentioned.

Robles walked in his first at bat and stole a base. Grounded out in second.

Strict enforcement of pitch clocks and the average time for Arizona fall
League games is 2:38. MLB can do it. Just need a pitch clock and enforce it. There will be some uproar initially and then everyone will speed things up.
