And who else remembers Haddix and "that" game?

Edwin doesn't deserve to get an earned run for that.

I believe you did. What else would be more important than a ball game? And how else to listen than on a transistor radio?

Still scoreless going into the bottom of the 9th. Hill only at 87 pitches.

Here's the story of the Harvey Haddix game. Jayson Werth's grandfather played SS and went 3-for-6.

That was hard to get. If it wasn't a perfecto before I could see a lenient scorer calling that a hit.

When they were talkin' about Werth's rehab, I was thinking about the Bucco Schofields.

Does it count as a Maddux if you don't get the win?

Does it count as a quality start if your pitching was quality but didn't go 6 IP <3 runs?

Cmon. It bounced right into his body and didn't take a bad bounce. Not an easy play but clearly an error.

Pedro's story needs a bump too, since it was with the franchise
http://www.nytimes.com/1995/06/05/sports/baseball-paradise-lost-martinez-loses-perfect-game-in-the-10th.html

And I did watch that one on tv.  I think we only had the game in french though.
