Talk about making the most of your opportunity. Goodwin has proven himself to be a bona fide major leaguer.

Fantastic trade piece, if nothing else.

Quite possibly.  The only guy whose stuff was definitively better was probably Henry Rodriguez but command was a slight problem for him.
Yeah, I think that HRod pitched about 2 or 3 innings that may have been the greatest innings ever pitched.  The inning where the slow catcher gave up and tried to bunt himself on was definitely a highlight.  Not to Godwin it, but saying command was a slight problem is like saying Hitler had a slight problem with tolerance.

I'm not the best follower of these game threads.  I know n2p is usually on top of these things, but is there a Mitlen count down to 50k post going yet?

... but without having the car payment.  Just enjoy for now, your Lamborghini will likely break down in October.
what he meant was, it's like going from an '85 Corolla to a brand new Honda Accord LX with a 5-year bumper to bumper warranty.

I meant it as in Whitney Houston had a slight cocaine problem. ;)

I got it... there were some innings where I got why management gave him a long leash, though.

Absolutely.  Especially because we weren't playing for anything that year and it would have been stellar for him to put it all together.  That fastball was deadly when he had control of it.  Just ended up at the backstop way too many times.

I don't want him to waste his 50k post on a random old guy story post though.....

For whoever mentioned the Rendon Fro...

Every time I see Rendon I'm reminded of Darryl Jenks in Coming to America...

The one thing about HRod I've always thought, is that he is the one guy I'd hate to face more than any other.   The only upside is you have a 40% shot at getting a walk with 3 pitches hitting the backstop and one sending the bat boy to the ER.  The other options were 105 in the ear or 3 triple digits in the strike zone that no one (including the battery) knew where they were going.

Wait who the freak is Andrew Stevenson. I literally never heard of him and then suddenly he's making a great catch in the outfield wearing a Nats uniform.
