Don't see it listed on any of my channels but will cheer for them. Took a look at the championship league table and seems your boys have a chance to move up if they can gain a few points this season.

We were 2nd at one point but we had lost more players to injury than the Nats in 2017 and with the Cup run on top of the aggressive Christmas schedule, the tiredness started to take its toll culminating in a severe drop off in form. 3 successive league defeats as well as the afore mentioned Man City game and Watford in the FA cup. Ground out a creditable point at Derby where our main striker finally made a cameo appearance and looked rusty as hell, which is to be expected after 3 months out. If the January recruits settle and the injured players get back to match fitness when expected I would be disappointed not to make the playoffs. Just can’t see top 2 though due to Wolves already being Europa League class and the depth of Villa and Derby’s squads.

Here’s hoping anyway!

Thanks for the update. Did some more research and the game is on ESPN3 on line. Or via the Watch ESPN app. For those interested.

I'll root against Dubai City any day of the week.  Too bad it's not on the box here.

Well. We lost. Not a shock but it’s difficult to not be proud of the performance. Equalising in the 95th minute and losing in the 97th!

There’s no domestic comparison in the US to the difference in the two teams. Man City’s starting XI cost nearly £380,000,000. That’s even more than Harper is going to get next winter!

In comparison, Bristol City’s less than £10,000,000.

I don’t know what the salary difference is but I wouldn’t be surprised if Man City we’re paying £4,000,000 A WEEK on wages. Bristol City probably somewhere around £150,000.

Anyway, concentrate on the league...

In fairness Mansour is from Abu Dhabi. Pretty sure one of his wives is a Maktoum (they’re Dubai!) though.

That's a pretty good showing, almost a  :w: when adjusted for PPP.

Keeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeriste I got Yeovil Town v Manchester United on before goin' to golf.    Yeovil has a kid who towered over the other players    ....   he's only 6'5.     By the looks of things, I figured he was 6'8 or more.    Must be soccer players are short.     :couch:

I love the canary colors   ...   just like Norwich City.

I have no reason (certainly not skill) but I don't like the guy.

My only hatred for the guy is that he plays for ManU.

I'm not even a ManU "hater".    Maybe it's the bun.    :)

There was another guy (Irish I think  ...   Carrol?) I couldn't stand him for the same reason.          Maybe I'm jealous and just wish I could grow that much hair.     :old:

Struggling to think of an Irish player with a man bun.

Roy Carrol was a Man U goalie for a while, who was Northern Irish but had a sensible haircut IIRC.

Welshmen though: Both Gareth Bale and the extremely kickable Robbie Savage had silly hair.

Don’t get me started about David Beckham...

Hmmmmm I always liked Gareth Bale  ....   maybe it's a Welsh thing.    I googled Carroll.    It's Andy Carroll.    Turns out he's an Englishman.    Doesn't make me like him any more/less.     :)    I must have gotten confused.    Used to go to O'Carroll's Irish Pub back in the day and that transitioned into Carroll.

Yeah. My slow old brain finally cranked round enough to remember the perennial sick note being the man you probably meant!

Andy Carroll is probably not as good as Zlatan.

Spurs score within the first 15 seconds against ManU.

EDIT:   Officially 11 seconds.

Quality own goal to put Spurs 2 up. Yup. That was an England International who scored it.

Appeared he tried to get too cute.    I don't know that much about technique but I agree with the announcer that he should have used his left foot.

You’d be amazed just how many professional soccer players are totally one-footed. Though most can actually kick with both feet they really lack the confidence to use their weak one when under pressure.

When I watch this level of soccer, I often wonder about my one-footedness.    :)    I'm totally left footed.    I'd have to play the left attack side.   Right-footed could go anywhere   ...  or nowhere.    :)    Upon further thought, I guess I could do a corner kick from the right or maybe come across the middle from the right.    I can use all parts of my head.   It's all cement (according to the missus).

Forget it.   It's defense or goalie with my amazing quickness.

Off the wall question  ....  I seldom see German players in the Premier League.    Do they primarily stay in the Bundesliga  ....  for the money or country?     Is there a "rule" regulating such things?

81,978 at Wembley  ....  that's 100,592 metric.   Metric's like playin' baseball in Colorado.
