We're winning the World Series regardless of who is playing in left field and/or batting second.   :nts:

You heard it here last.

Did you drink the DeezNats koolaid? Are you going to talk about a strange wind next?

He's so fine that him doing running is a news report.

I'm sky high on Howie because he's hitting. The same can not be said of Werth.

Of course we all know it's going to be Werth. And when he goes 1 for 17 in the two hole, because he missed three months of baseball and has no timing, it will be comforting to know that he's a team leader.

You should be comforted since you seem to possess a crystal ball.  Do you have the Powerball you can share with me?  It's more than obvious to anybody looking at it logically that Werth was basically sent away on vacation to be fresh for the postseason.  We're a million games ahead, he's old...do you really think he's just taking this long for a bruised foot because it takes this long?  They laid out a very slow timeline and had a plan all along for him to be back in the amount of time he needs to get going again for the postseason.  You're mistaken if you think it's anything other than just that.  Nobody knows how anybody will hit in the postseason.  It won't be because Werth doesn't have his "timing."  He'll be back in time to get the at bats he wants.

Dusty is pretty decent about getting playing time in for everyone. I don't think Howie Kendrick will be banished to the land of wind and ghosts when Werth returns, even if Werth gets the lion's share of starts.

Oh, no question through the rest of the regular season, especially after rosters expand in September, Dusty will balance rest versus keeping the guys that are part of the postseason plans sharp.  That's a delicate balance that he'll have to use his judgement on.  I'm saying once the NLDS starts, he's going to be starting Werth in LF over Kendrick.  Maybe he platoons Lind in a matchup against a righty, but I kind of doubt that.  I also suspect we could see Goodwin replace Werth/Lind late in a game in LF.  Kendrick will no doubt be a key bat off the bench we turn to.  I like the idea of Howie, Drew (hopefully he's fine), and especially Lind off the bench.  Those are vets that can come through with a big knock.

The team will be more offensively productive with Kendrick rather than the Werewerth. Maybe Jayson, with a y, can pull it all together in the playoffs

Gee I hope saying that doesn't bring out the troll police

Actually, that one is a reasonable opinion but I think an argument could be made either way.  Werth has more power and has been the Nats' most clutch hitter over the years and Kendrick doesn't have the greatest postseason track record ever.  I think it's a lot closer than a lot of people give it credit for though.

At this point, the announcer needs to say "and now it's time for the main event!" each time Howie Kendrick steps to the plate.

I continue to maintain that George is not the real father of Bruce.  (Nor that idiot who was Governor of Virginia.)

So far everybody has performed...that's the good news.  De Aza was always a solid player and was doing well in AAA.
