This game seems well in hand...which is a good thing, as I need to focus on cooking now.  The last time I tried cooking during a 9th inning meltdown I almost gave myself a Henckels appendectomy.

If I were you I'd call an ambulance now just in case. They'll understand.

The source of a posting of that picture links to National Geographic, which says it was taken in 1947 "U.S. military tanks parade near the Capitol Building in Washington DC, 1947. Photograph by Volkmar K. Wentzel, National Geographic". See:
http://natgeofound.tumblr.com/post/52966623825/us-military-tanks-parade-near-the-capitol

The key to identifying when the picture might have been taken is the National Geographic photographer, Volkmar K. Wentzel.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkmar_Wentzel
Wentzel's first day at National Geographic was January 2, 1937. Only a darkroom technician, Wentzel became a photographer in late 1937. Several ofhis images appeared in the August 1940 issue of National Geographic. Over the next 48 years, Wentzel was the photographer for 35 stories in National Geographic, and photograph and author for another 10.

Wentzel left the magazine at the outbreak of World War II and enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps, where he was assigned photo interpretation duties. He served a portion of his service on the island of Okinawa.

A lot of his photos are posted on the Internet. The National Geographic magazine is archived on the Internet for most of 1947. That original photograph may be in one of those issues.

Difo has been watching the bullpen, too. He knows the Nats need more runs.
