Lobaton has had 22 starts and 8 of them have been catching Roark. 2 others were catching Turner and 2 more catching Ross. That's over 50% with crap on the mound, unless you blame him for them being crap (which you probably do ).
Good info - thanks. I definitely don't blame him but I'm curious as to how pitch-calling could impact a game. I homestly don't know how much of a difference it makes and maybe it doesn't. Like I said, when Lobaton plays, so does much of the B lineup so that doesn't help things. Trust me, this team has a ton of issues and the backup catcher isn't one of them.
