Boston adding a 2020 2nd round pick to the deal, it looks to be done now.
funny, they started out asking for Tatum or Brown.

Melo to OKC...

I was out roamin' around in the vehicle earlier and heard that.    They say Westbrook, George and Melo will be the big three.    I ain't feelin' it.

I imagine they can lose in the conference finals with Melo just as easily as without him.

The guy on the radio (hope I get this right) said Melo was with the Knicks for 7 years.    He had one playoff appearance and 5 coaches.

Looks like Dwayne Wase to the Cavs. Maybe Bosh will get medical clearance and join them.

Gordon Heyward’s ankle injury looked absolutely horrific. That is a real shame.

Not even a week into the season and already one head coach has been sacked - Earl Watson out at admittedly dire Phoenix: http://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/phoenix-suns-reportedly-fire-coach-earl-watson-after-just-three-games-this-season/

I didn't see that, but it looks apt - that team has been dire for awhile.

Catch the end of the Pacers - Celtics game?

Celts lead the whole game, pacers catch them in the last two minutes, build a 5 point lead with :30 to play, Celts get two 3s from Kyrie and 2 from Smart while the Pacers hit 4 free throws to put the Cs down 1 with 9 seconds left.  Pacers inbound the ball OK, forward lobs a pass to avoid a foul, Rozier picks it off at half court, drives for 2, and then Oladipo hits the rim on a 3/4 court shot with a second left.

When Rozier picked off the pass, the Celts play by play guy says "and the Pacers pull a Rothlisberger!"

Just one more reason to hate Boston. Was that Tommy Heinsohn?

Sean Grande on the radio.  Tommy only does TV and does not travel to most games.  He was in the studio last night.  You'll be shocked that he complained about the refs.  Sadly, Bob Cousy does not work much anymore.  The color guy on the radio is Cedric Maxwell, and on the road on TV is Brian Scalabrine.  Still Mike Gorman on TV as the p-b-p.  Mike and Tommy have worked together for something like 30+ years, maybe 35.

Tommy is really terrible. I didn't know Cousy was still alive!

I had to laugh when he would do national games involving the Celtics.  A Lakers fan / friend noted he always referred to Kareem as "Jabbar," never "Abdul-Jabbar" and rarely as "Kareem."

Blake Griffin to Pistons

The Clippers and Pistons have agreed on a deal to trade Blake Griffin for Tobias Harris, Avery Bradley, Boban Marjanovic, a first-round and a second-round draft pick, league sources tell ESPN.

Wow, that's a shocker.   I guess the Clippers are "selling".

From what I heard on the radio last night about the deal, seems like the Pistons gave up too much.

Probably so. I am having a hard time figuring out what they are doing. They lose Bradley after this year anyway but are giving up two starters for one starter. And give up their first. Not enough of an improvement to compete this year. On the other hand Jerry West seems to have the Clippers ready to blow it up completely. Deandre Jordan to the Wizards?
