During his season with the Travelers, he went 0-1 with a 3.05 ERA while striking out 61 batters over 32 games (41.1 innings). His 61 K’s were the second most among all Travelers relievers (D.J. Johnson had 67).
In the second half of 2016, Adams had a strong finish to his season. Over his last 11 appearances, he had a 0.77 ERA, had three saves, struck out 19 batters to only four walks, and opponents were hitting .103 against him.
