Action sport average view is 47- so much for appealing to the kids. Even in my 30s I know fewer people watching sports with any regularity. On the other hand, I don't think I could name more than 2 or 3 primetime shows, so maybe I'm not the target view any way

Most people I know view sports as a social event rather than an appointment viewing.

That's true with a lot of us older folks as well  ....   that includes visits to the stadium.

Median would be a better indicator than average, due to both tails of the viewing distribution

That's the reason I end up watching more  Mizzou football than any other school- neighbor with an outdoor tv who like to grill and has a good back yard for the neighborhood kids to play

Here we go again:

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2746664-espn-president-john-skipper-announces-layoffs-of-approximately-150-people

All back-office this time, but the article says they will not be renewing anchors as contracts expire.

so you are saying they are throwing the anchors overboard?  I don't see how that will allow them to move forward.

Maybe they'll even find a way to get back to covering sports instead of being SJW's...

ESPN's President just resigned to seek treatment for substance abuse.

Normally, I'd be sympathetic, but the jackass over bid on assets and then turned around and gutted his staff to make up for the mistake, including announcing the latest round just in time for the holidays- freak him and his liver
