Good MAT

The right fades weren't bad but they put me in the first cut or more.    That usually caused me problems.     The second shot is my bane on par four and fives.    Rained in E. Loudoun 'til about 8.    Got out around 8:20 and the sun broke through.     Walked 18 on a beautiful day.    Doesn't get much better.

How about that Face? He's really hitting! Dare I say enough power for a first baseman?
I dare...

Dickey's done after 73 pitches? Knuckle balls are supposed to be easy on the arm.

Sounds like a good day.  I got in about 1.5 hours of fishing after work before some lighting rolled in and I had to split.  Unfortunate, because the bite was just getting good, but allowed me to get home in time for the 7:30 start.

Yeah, we've weathered the relying on 3rd string SS pretty well.

I wonder how effective it is putting loogies in against Harper.  He sees them so much, that I'm sure it doesn't phase him at all.   It's ridiculously early, but he's OPSing 2.042 vs lefties and only 1.268 against righties.  It seems much more prudent just to give him a base in high leverage innings vs burning a loogie unless it's bases loaded bottom of the ninth or up by 2 leading off an inning.
