Treinen is a good mid reliever when you need a ground ball. Good hard sinkerballer. Closers need to be able to throw strikes at will. He can't do that. So he can't do the job. I think anyone in the bullpen besides Blake and Romero would make a better closer. I still don't  understand how the Nats could have made what was obviously the wrong decision.
Yup, agreed. He has no idea where his ball is going right now. This is disgusting.

Not setting a guy up for success. I don’t care what the outcome is. Obviously not the right kind of pitcher to close.

Scherrer should walk away from this teamand play for someone else. Shameful garbage.

And give up the game-tying hit to Emilio Bonifacio. That would be freaking fitting, wouldn't it?

The Nats make the wrong move every freaking time. 3 effing weeks into the season and everything has backfired as spectacularly as possible.

How many freaking times are they going to have to bring in a guy with the bases loaded before Blake loses this job?

the guy isn't a closer - you can see it in his eyes.   drop him back to the 7th or 8th inning and move on

I can't remember many relief innings this bad. Reminds me of HRod: walks two or three and then slows to 95 mph down the middle.

Technically two weeks
Which doesn't make it better
just keeping it real
