I have Rochester labeled as a favorite team but still don;t see any way to watch it on the Roku.  So that article was off base I think.

Rebooted and it does now show up on my Roku.  Not sure if it will show games for multiple teams or not. Will check that out later in the week.

Looks cold in Syracuse. Surprising!

Happy to report that all the Nationals minor league games show up on my Roku. Or at least the three scheduled to play. Wilmington and Harrisburg postponed today so will have to watch the 4A guys at Rochester.

So far the teams are 20-30. Matters not as long as the main prospects develop.

Do we have a Kieboom thread? He is supppsed to be starting to play in Harrisburg.  But didn’t see him in the lineup yesterday.

no longer rookie eligible so no longer a "prospect." May be time to start "Carter Kieboom in the minors" to collect posts about him.

The MLB trade rumors article makes it sound like he is a slam dunk to be back in the majors after rehab but that seems more and more unlikely to me. I would think he needs a solid minor league year under his belt to get back to the big leagues. Don’t see what my they would want him to sit on the bench at Nats Park.

Today's pregame show guest is a great one!

I sat down @Nationals Director of Player Development De Jon Watson for 7 good minutes on the FredNats, the Nationals' player development philosophies, and lots of good stuff on top prospects.

Kieboom 2 for 3 in his first game back at AA.  Played 3B, thought he was only going to DH for now.

Rochester on now against the Red Sox.  The picture quality is very good as compared to the other affiliates. Will see how the camera work is. These minor league broadcasts really make you appreciate the MLB production and even on a network like MASN. Abbott on the mound. Rocking an ERA over 6.00.  1-2-3 first for him though.

2-0 start for Rochester. Kieboom and Blamkenhorn double and then Downs gets on via an error. That’s pretty much the only way he gets on as his OPS is near .500.  Adams struck out but has an OPS still near .900.

Fredsburg, Wilmington and Harrisburg all have early starts tomorrow. 11:00 am or Noon. So a chance to watch them without interfering with the big league Nats. F Troop starts for Harrisburg.

may start an FTP on him, but Tyler Schoff gets a mention in the FG profile of the minor league system as a potential reliever.  He's at Wilmington and putting up some interesting numbers:

RHP, 6' 4", 220 lbs. 25.2 IP, 16 appearances, 13.68 K/9, 1.40 BB/9, 54.1 GB%, 3.51 ERA but a 2.91 FIP.  A little homer prone when guys hit flies (15% HR/FB), but not giving up a ton of HRs due to his GB orientation (1.05 HR/9). BABIP'd to death (.367, after .350 last year). Not sure if that's a reflection on his infielder's play or whether it's something about the contact.

Schoff, 24, signed as an undrafted free agent after the 2021 draft and has now missed a ton of bats with his cutter and curveball through High-A. He could use a pitch that moves arm-side.
Longenhagen lumps him in with Brzycky and Willingham as examples of something the Nats have not hit on in the past - low draftees / signees who pop as relievers.

Feels like the Nats are rewarding early season success with promotions now. Quite a few the past couple of weeks

DSL Nats off to an 0-12 start after blowing a 6 run lead in the 7th today (games are 7 innings).

And now 0-13 after losing the nightcap.

Except for DSL (of course) and FCL, every Nats team at low-a and above won yesterday. FCL game was suspended due to rain.

Harrisburg vs. Bowie on MLB.TV for free tonight. 6:35 PM.

Wood vs Holliday is how it is billed, with a nod to House and Hassell. Coby Mayo also mentioned on Bowie.

I'm trying something a little different in organizing the Farm section by stickying the team-specific threads.  We have a lot of names / FTPs in the section, but it's a bit tougher to find just general team discussions.  For example, somehow we ended up with 2 Harrisburg 2023 threads.

Imref or any of the regular minor league followers: Does this work for you?  I'm not wedded to it.
