Now that sounds like a good time.    Enjoy.
Had a good time at Great American Ballpark. I saw Babe Ruth, Roger Maris, Mariano Rivera, and Derek Jeter.  Had to leave a little early since daughter up early today but still a good time. And the Reds won. Looks like CC Sabathia is done to me. Fastballs at 87-88 MPH. Since they need a starter maybe Rizzo can send them AJ Cole for Betances.  :hysterical:

The yankees are retiring #2 this Sunday.  ESPN will have all-day coverage of Jeter's career and will broadcast the retirement ceremony live at 6 PM.   Hopefully the rain holds off.

Chapman to the DL for rotator cuff, minimum 2 weeks, possibly out  a month.

Who is number 2? I don't follow the junior circuit.   ;)

Not a good sign for him long term; let's face it.  All pitchers health is a crap shoot.

I actually quite like that park even though everyone rips on it. Good fan base, nice people. Good beer selection.

Great concession selection, as you say...and yes, the nicest people on earth hail from Chicago...  ;)

The White Sox outfield has Garcia in left field, Garcia in center field, and Garcia in right field.

Reminds me of the Bugs Bunny cartoon...

Indeed. Have used our favorite WNFF quote quite a bit this season though... it's early.

It's a fact in my mind?

I can't find anywhere else to post this but feel I can't pass it up:

I guess it could have gone in the former Nats thread, as he is a former Expo - maybe the last one still playing?

Yes.

Also, last active pitcher who started in the Astrodome.

Caught a little bit of the A's/Indians game, couple things:

- The A's are the worst defensive team in baseball. Literally. I just watched perhaps the most dysfunctional inning since the Nats got good. Really, really bad. They were lucky to only give up 4 runs.
- Jharel Cotton and his 5.56 ERA going into the game, really shut down the defending AL champs who had most of their regulars in the lineup until that meltdown 6th inning. These kind of games happen to every team, not just the Nats.

Cotton actually is pretty highly regarded.  He's been hit around some this year but he's a promising rookie.  He is out of the Dodgers system.  He came over in the Rich Hill / Reddick deal.

I'm sure on CIFF.net they're being much more rational about it than we would have been.

Still think Cleveland has a good squad. It'll be fun to see them in town next week. Hopefully, they don't have it figured out by then, though...
