I'm only upset about Lopez really. Figured he would be the possible closer assuming the Nats get literally no one else.
Yeah, Dunning is a lotto pick and Giolito is pretty risky too at this point. Lopez seemed like he had potential to be SOMETHING, even if not a frontline starter.

i was in the get Eaton Camp the whole time so I am happy now lets get a closer, i would not mind signing zeigler and holland and calling it a winter meeting but I hope we can trade Espi and Gio for some minor league depth.

False - he has played 365 games in CF.

The advanced metrics don't like Eaton's defense.

Sick to my stomach we have up 2 top SPs for a guy that is a average player. Eaton is not putting us over the hump

Fine. Put him in left, keep Turner in center, move Werth to first.  This is a big improvement to the lineup.

Is it?  Sub .800 ops. Gave up a lot for him. Expected more.

The Nationals offered Giolito, Lopez, Dunning, and Robles for Chris Sale. They just traded Giolito, Lopez, and Dunning for Adam Eaton.

Oh good because he's taking Espinosa'a spot in the lineup.

I dont get this average player line you are on. Dude has been great for the past 3 years offensively. he is putting up nice numbers for a.leadoff hitter.

The #WhiteSox are looking most closely at Lucas Giolito's medical records, since he once had Tommy John surgery, before finalizing deal.

Don't care about Dunning. IMO, he was nothing more than a RP. Lopez and Giolito - ML-ready arms for the impending Straw blow up. Nothing good in the upper levels for an injury. Good get. Not a CF, but it'll have to do!

Part of the improvement this year wasn't just a switch to RF, but a big improvement in his arm. That should carry over.

It's clear he likes hockey better. No judgement, just preference.

Yeah but he actually hits for average, i think his doubles will go up alot and probably will hit 9 to 12 HR for us. White Sox park is a homer friendly park.

He led the AL in triples not that long ago.

It makes sense to deal our minor league pitching. Again, our window is open for just 2 more years. We're rebuilding in 2019 anyways. Accept it, it's happening.

For next 2 years, you have:

Scherzer
Strasburg
Roark
Ross
Gonzalez/rotating 5th starter

Turner
Eaton
Murphy
Harper
Werth
Rendon
Zimmerman
Norris
P

That is a...great lineup and rotation.
wouldn't really mind leading off Eaton and having Turner #2.  Turner is a better hitter, Eaton is a good OBP guy. Get Eaton on and get him in.  breaks up the lefties.

Also, I'd look at splitting Harper and Murphy with Rendon, but that's just me.
