The nats have an amazing opportunity to get rid of prospect hugger Rizzo. Sure he makes good trades, but he needs to sometimes overpay to get over the top this year. I don't care about the team 5 years from now when this season is still going on.

I've said that many times now. There's no bats in the system. Gotta trade for one. Like it's been said many times now, Boston is a good match.

Fire Rizzo before he gives out any more contracts. His first experiment, Werth, was one of the worst players tonight. Strasburg and Zimmerman are money pits, Scherzer will look bad at the end. I don't want him hamstringing us any further than he already has.

Honestly, no, not really.

Why is it the big money contracts don't hamstring teams like the Dodger, Cubs, Marlins, Red Sox, or Yankees? Contracts aren't the issue here.

Whatever is done has to be done for the 2018 season as well. In 2018, we'll be getting a contract year out of Bryce, Murphy's last season here, quality innings out of Lopez and Giolito, Turner in his prime, and Strasburg coming back from his second TJS.

Not sure I'd call Harper young talent anymore.  I think he's toast.

This team has enough people to play CF for the forseable future. Hell, we can move Harper there if we have to. It's far more difficult to find a good shortstop than a good outfielder.
