Danny has not touched a pitch by Kershaw. Bench him. Use Difo and save Drew for pinch-hitting.

At some point, it stops being a slump, and starts being "he sucks balls"

Oh goodie, back in time to watch Espinosa flail away at strikes 1, 2, and 3

Hang on to the sack tightly or you might fall off on one of those swings.

Bottom of the order and Danny is the like the "free space" on a bingo card. Let's see how he does next inning.

There's a reason they call it the "bottom of the order".

Im not even mad at Danny. He could easily not be an issue but hes being enabled to be one. So it is what it is.

It's also a lie. Espinosa does not suck balls. He has others do it for him.

Ew... 9 pitch inning is not what we wanted to see there.  I understand the Nats seemed to be in attack mode but once Kershaw throws 27 pitches in the first inning, that plan needed to change.  A lot of swings at a lot of pitches out of the zone is not gonna get it done.

As soon as I saw where Severino was set up, I knew that was not going to end well.  Why they chose that location against Gonzalez is beyond me.  Not a location mistake because the pitch was where Severino wanted it.  More a choice of location mistake.

Severino set up just off the inside corner about mid thigh. The pitch was 4-6 inches above the belt and right down the middle of the plate.

Really.    That was not a Severino problem.

Yeah but Severino has to know enough about Ross to know his fastball has a lot of swingback action.  That's too dangerous of a location to ask for given the movement on Ross's fastball.

EDIT:  And that's a great spot to attack against most lefties who tend to have a bit of an uppercut in their swing but Gonzalez is not most lefties and they should know that from the scouting report.

I have never hated a player on the nats as much as danny. My hate for him exceeds the hate I have for storen.
