When Harper blew a bubble at 2B, was he passing on the catcher's signal to Rendon, who was at bat?

Totally disagree.  Forcing Kershaw to throw 27 pitches after their starters have gone 4.1 and 3 innings in consecutive days is HUGE.  More runs would have been nice but I'd rather have one run on 27 pitches than two runs on 15 given that we have no clue what Ross can give us today.
I mostly agree with you but a run is a run and I'd rather have 2 runs on 2 pitches than one on 27. Still - that inning was big. Stressed him out, Trea got in his head, worked counts, he'll get tired faster.

Nice to see a quick out. Let's go, kiddo.

I think the thought process is that the more pitches Kershaw throws, the more runs we can reasonably expect to score later.  I'm more saying I'll take several runs later over one now.

Yeah but next inning he gets the pitcher (good as Ross may be with the bat) and even worse, Espinosa. That sort of cancels out the long first inning.

So Joe Ross is the only Nats starter to keep Seager out of the RBI column in the 1st inning.  Wonder what the odds on that bet would have been if you could have made it.

The other thing to consider is how many runs we can be expected to give up...

Although looks like Boss Ross has showed up to carpe the freakin' diem.

Not a good pitch to Turner's shoulder.
