I have never hated a player on the nats as much as danny. My hate for him exceeds the hate I have for storen.
Clearly you don't remember Felipe Lopez

Pretty much this. I mean, he's being paid.

Im not even mad at Danny. He could easily not be an issue but hes being enabled to be one. So it is what it is.

Ross is actually pitching really well.  Literally one location mistake that he paid for but he looks great so far.

Yep, huge inning coming up. This where they either really get to Kershaw or let him off the hook. Hoping for the former.

It's unrealistic to expect any lineup to go ham on Kershaw.  The goal should be to get him out of the game ASAP and force the Dodgers to give the game to their tired bullpen.  That's where the runs will come from, not against the best pitcher in this generation.

Maybe because you've been force-fed it every 10 minutes?

Yeah but Severino has to know enough about Ross to know his fastball has a lot of swingback action.  That's too dangerous of a location to ask for given the movement on Ross's fastball.

EDIT:  And that's a great spot to attack against most lefties who tend to have a bit of an uppercut in their swing but Gonzalez is not most lefties and they should know that from the scouting report.

It's not on the catcher if the pitcher throws a meatball unless he asked for a meatball, and Severino didn't ask for a meatball.  If a guy's fastball runs 3 inches, you don't put the target 3 inches inside of where you want it.  I've never had a catcher do anything but put the target where he wants the ball (or in a place that tells the pitcher to bury it), nor have I really seen anything else.  It's the pitcher's job to get it there.  If he doesn't want to or can't get it there, he shakes you off or steps off once he sees the target.
