The Nats have the look of a team just playing out the string. Very strange considering the circumstances.

I can't believe how many pitches it is taking our starters to get through the awful Diamondbacks' lineup.

Rusty noted last night that they are sitting on fastballs only...

Not sure how accurate Gameday is. That first pitched to Drury looked like it was dead center of the zone and just begging to be launched.

Looks like Ross is on pace to go 4 innings. Anyone warming up in the pen?

*edit: Looks like the successful challenge may turn that into 4+.

I'm glad he's getting that call now, but it still shows how inconsistent Colbrith has been

I see that someone called "Michael A. Taylor" is playing for the Nationals.  It's been so long since he's started that I almost forgot he existed.  Heck, he might have almost forgotten he existed.

Vowels are hard. ;)

I hate being a pessimist, but I really wish I were more enthused about Espi and Taylor being the next two to the plate with bases loaded, one out.  :(  Please, please make me eat a nice slice of humble pie, Danny.

so, is there enough rain in the area to go Kelley for the 5th and melancon for the 6th to close this out?

After that AB, I think you let him try to get through the 5th himself to qualify for the win.

Instead, Sean Burnett in to vulture a win.  Hat provides extra rain-dampening powers.
