:lmao:

I don't get all the hand wringing over these games. They're already in the playoffs. You go play wherever the games are scheduled and not worry about home field advantage. The Nats have played 5 playoff games at home and lost 4 of those. Too many ho's in this fanbase.

I'm deflated, there is no conceivable way that Ramos injury isn't seaon ending, Stras is toast, Bryce and Murphy are done and we are going to lose crucial home field. I mean if that wasn't enough from an on field standpoint, the Fernandez thing is so saddening, baseball is not fun right now

I'm deflated,

That earned Brady a 4 game suspension so take the rest of the week off and return to the gdt on 10/7 for game 1 of the playoffs.

I don't really care if we lose these games at this point, but we've lost 4 crucial players this month. Two of them won't be coming back. The other two will come back rusty. Season is toast, anything can happen...but we've gone into the playoffs at full strength and got bounced in the 1st round. No reason to believe this time will be any different.

I'm not worried about Murphy much. Harper wasn't playing all that great any way, if anything maybe we'll get lucky and the time off will reset him.

I paid for MLB.tv specifically to watch this game. I wonder if they give refunds.

Its not the games. Its losing Strasburg, Murphy, Harper, and now Ramos. That's a lot to lose before the playoffs.

Let's wait and hear about his injury officially. But weirder things have happened in the MLB Playoffs. Lets just wait and see. No giving up.

But there's nothing that can be done about it. You still have to play the games. We're guaranteed one win by virtue of Espinosa's glove so if we can get the rest of the slackers to pull their weight we may steal two others and advance.

Oh c'mon Slate - stop your "sky is falling" mentality.  Murphy & Harper aren't lost to the playoffs

this is ultimately where I'm at, just feel the losses are going to be too much to overcome, not to mention Gio sucks and Ross is nowhere near ready

He was hailed as such by all of the renowned publications/scouts. Pretty stunning but I guess prospects are never sure things not even heralded ones like Giolito.

SF with jaw dropping breaking news. I don't buy any of the prospect hype until a player displays it at the big league level.

Next year just needs to be a year to build for the future. Get rid of flotsam like Gio and Espinosa, play Turner at short, get a non-crappy CFer not named Revere (hell, play Goodwin), give Lopez the #5 spot, prepare for the inevitable second TJS for Strasburg, get OF replacements in line, etc.
