Sickening. A chance to clinch a few hours ago but nope they lose and the Mets win. And the Dodgers will also win despite their starter only throwing 1 inning tonight.

I mean how can they have any semblance of confidence heading into the playoffs? This might be the worst of the three playoff teams we have ever had.

We're losing home-field advantage. Not good.

No Drew Storen, remember. That makes it close.

Should've been done with in the 9th. Y'all can say the playoffs are a crapshoot all you want, but the Nats won't be getting past the first round and there's no way around it.

Petit is perfectly capable of blowing games. Every time he comes in, he loses the game.

You tell 'em, Ray. Petit can't be sharp when he never pitches.

eh. I like Melancon but honestly he isn't that much different than what Storen used to be. Neither are dominant/shutdown closers.

Our offense still sucks and is very inconsistent. The bullpen is bad. We only have 2 quality starting pitchers which is not nearly enough.

He's a bum but should have gotten out of this last inning. He got umped.

Time to change my playoff plans. I really think we're getting home games on Monday (with Gio :hang: ) and *maybe* Tuesday instead of Friday and Saturday.

I'd hope dusty sets the rotation to throw max and Roark in 1 & 2

The only consolation tonight would be if the Dodgers lose, but that's not likely.  They're only one back in the win column after tonight.

Knowing you have to score 3 runs just to counter the Gio effect can't be easy on this team...
