Just a rotten day on the local sports scene altogether. Nats lose...then I watch most of the first half of the Redskins match, then head into town to watch the Mystics season finale (they lost and will miss the playoffs)...let's get back on track tonight.

why is it that professional sports teams from the DC area are statistically such chokers when it's time to focus, when they are near the finish line? Instead, we often read in Monday morning's Post, quotes from one of these overpaid clods, something to the effect of, '.....(Redskins, Wizards)..we're a much better team than our 0-14 record indicates..."...or..." (Nats)...we've got to do better....we're a good team...we're grinders, we compete..things will turn around..'..instead of owning up to the plain and simple fact that these putzes are primarily thinking of payday instead of game day.
