I hear ya.   :)

We used to leave in NYC, and even in Queens for a while so we know our way around a bit. But that was a long time ago and even a different ballpark. I'm talking mid '80s.

Last time I was in Queens was the summer of '68.    :)   Nowadays, I'm a Manhattan/Brooklyn guy.

Checking weather, hotels, and anything else?
It's New York. Flack jackets recommended.

I've heard that if you stay in Manhattan it's faster to take the Long Island Rail to Queens.
You should stay and take in some tennis Sunday. Get a day pass.

Syndergard really does not handle runners in very well.

Just booked a hotel room at the Holiday Inn about half a mile from the park for Saturday night. We're flexible for the rest of the weekend. Can't remember the last time I've winged something like this. My wife says it's the Makers Mark.

Just do it.    Sounds like a great plan.

Mitlen, dude, I went to the Freedom Tower last month for the first time. I cried for about 10 minutes.

Almost serve up a home run? Better give him another chance to hit one out.

Can't remember the year (2011 maybe)  ..   went to the city and they were still doin' a lot of construction.    Stopped by the local firehouse just a block or so away from the old Towers.    They had a list of all the firemen who passed on 9/11 on the wall of the fire house.

They need to test Cabrera.  He never had that kind of power before.
