Did you throw a special cut on the grill for the great Gio start?

Not a fine cut of beef but special in its own way.  Grilled some delicious cheeseburgers.

If it works, it works.

Nats up 7.5 on the Fish and 9 on the Mets.

Nice.

It's good to beat the Giants. Too bad Samardzija will take a no-hitter into 7th against us in the NLDS.

The Nats are clearly playing at the same level with the Giants. If Stras throws well tomorrow, we win the season series. Good stuff.

The Giants have been playing terribly; they just lost 2 of 3 to the Phillies.  Their lineup has holes as does their pitching.  I think the Dodgers will overtake them.  They probably have a good enough record to hold on for a wild card.

Sounds eerily familiar to 2014...

yeah, but it's an even year.

Outside of Posey there doesn't seem to be anyone on their lineup who can hit.

this was my best experience at the park ever, sat in section 211 which had just an outstanding view the game.  I wish I could afford to sit here more often.

We hadn't been to the park since last August, the amount of development east along the Yards park and around the DoT was amazing, it's completely transformed.  Many of the restaurants appeared to be packed with folks just out for a Friday night who had no relation to the game (i.e. no Nats shirts/jerseys).  Next time we come for a game I need to hit that Korean Taco place (TaKorean).

Tuned in late...did Span get a nice hand from the fans?

he got a huge ovation.  They announced 'welcome back denard span' on the big screen before the game started, and he got a mostly standing ovation when he went to the plate for his first at bat.  he took a step back and tipped his hat to the crowd.

Is Trump there?

there was a guy in section 210, front row, who kept putting up a trump sign.

Good. Loved Span. Hate he aged so fast. In 2013 and when healthy he was a dominant leadoff hitter.
