I was a fan of the DC logo.  :w: didn't do it for me.  The block W is nothing special - I prefer the :w: The block W looks worse than my junior high, Weeks.

I wanted them to be named the FatCats. The mascot would have been legendary.

I'm gonna quote all the things I agree with:

I really like Danny Espinosa.
* Nationals Park was a huge overpay by the District, MLB needed a big market city as much as DC needed a team, there was no reason to gift the league a $700 million ballpark.
* Frank Robinson was the best manager the Nats have had until Baker.
* Rizzo should have traded Dunn before the deadline.
(though I think Rizzo had a Dunn deal for Daniel Hudson which the Lerners vetoed?)
Morse was the most over rated player in Nats history.
LaRoche was better [than Morse].
I like Dave's play-by-play a lot better than Charlie's.
I find Carpenter old, dry, and severely lacking in personality.
I miss the DC logos.
The interlocking DC was way better than the curly W.

One more:

Right now, the first player to enter the Hall of Fame with a 2005- Washington Nationals cap is most likely to be Max Scherzer. Only other active guy with a chance is Harper.

Strasburg has a pretty solid chance if he continues to improve and doesn't have to have TJ again. I think he'll end up being more appreciated by non DC observers than by people that are fans of the team.

Mine is that Jayson Werth is the best leadoff hitter currently on the roster.

Dusty sits his starters too often (and at inconvenient times for my fantasy team...) than I'd like.

I'm 60/40 advanced metrics vs. eye test/old school.

Defense at first base is important.

I don't care if a player doesn't fit  the industry standard for production if it's made up for somewhere else on the field.

Most of the singings are so bad they make me cry.  At least, wince.
That's another thing. Stop getting people to sing it. Just play it from an iPod and be done with it.

Not going to happen, they require the singer to purchase a large block of tickets.

Most of Slate's posts make sense.

Deep down Spidernat is a nice guy.

Matt Williams was a great manager--just before his time.

Ryan Zimmerman has his best years ahead of him.

WNFF is a haven for intellectuals.

Nats will win it all this year.

I don't believe the Nationals should be in for Chapman or Miller.

Look, we're just a bunch of fans.  Professional managers, coaches, GMs, etc. know far more about baseball than we do.

Someone offerend them a job and they get paid.

We do it for the love of the game.... to the contrary, of course we know more than they do.

There's nothing wrong with second guessing to a reasonable extent, but I think it is safe to say the Nationals Park Group of Seven can be found on WNFF!

Quote
“Jim is a great handler of a game,” one Nats source said. “But you can get seven fans that can ‘handle a game.’ It’s what happens after you come down the dugout steps after a game that really matters. That’s when you find out who’s a big league manager. That’s when Jim goes in his office. He thinks his day is over.”

Stephen Stras is a tough s.o.b. and will go down as the greatest pitcher in Nats history.
