I really like Danny Espinosa.
* Nationals Park was a huge overpay by the District, MLB needed a big market city as much as DC needed a team, there was no reason to gift the league a $700 million ballpark.* Frank Robinson was the best manager the Nats have had until Baker.* Rizzo should have traded Dunn before the deadline.
Morse was the most over rated player in Nats history.
LaRoche was better [than Morse].
I like Dave's play-by-play a lot better than Charlie's.
I find Carpenter old, dry, and severely lacking in personality.
I miss the DC logos.
Only other active guy with a chance is Harper.
Most of the singings are so bad they make me cry. At least, wince.
That's another thing. Stop getting people to sing it. Just play it from an iPod and be done with it.
Did the title of this thread change from Unpopular Opinions to Weak Takes?
Most of Slate's posts make sense.Deep down Spidernat is a nice guy.Matt Williams was a great manager--just before his time.Ryan Zimmerman has his best years ahead of him.WNFF is a haven for intellectuals.Nats will win it all this year.
Ryan Zimmerman has his best years ahead of him.
But I'm a nice guy
Like sitting by a lake with his grandkids?
That's for the popular views thread.
Look, we're just a bunch of fans. Professional managers, coaches, GMs, etc. know far more about baseball than we do.
“Jim is a great handler of a game,” one Nats source said. “But you can get seven fans that can ‘handle a game.’ It’s what happens after you come down the dugout steps after a game that really matters. That’s when you find out who’s a big league manager. That’s when Jim goes in his office. He thinks his day is over.”
Could be a beach.
Jonathan Papelbon is the team leader.
