That was more true a month ago, no? I don't think he's been in as much lately.

Not even close. That myth has already been debunked yet people keep saying it.

Unbelievable how often Familia get this close to completely blowing the game and yet somehow always gets away with it.

:w: o :w: Love that score. Of course anytime we score double digit runs and keep the opponents under that is a Lover Laugh Game.

Gonzalez is a freaking joke and I want him off the team NOW!  >:(
He really is a head case. Talking to himself and probably getting answers. He needs to go to the 'pen. Let Stras sit out Sunday and lets' see what Giolito can do over 6-7 innings. When Stras is ready send Rivero down. He has been lucky that he hasn't imploded his last few appearances after the disaster in SD.

Comparative dates on which the Nationals notched their 48th win, each season:

2016 - 30th June (80th match of season)
2005 - 1st July (79th match)*
2012 - 5th July (80th match)
2014 - 6th July (87th match)
2015 - 12th July (87th match)
2013 - 14th July (95th match)
2011 - 18th July (96th match)
2006 - 1st August (107th match)
2007 - 2nd August (108th match)
2010 - 4th August (108th match)
2008 - 27th August (133rd match)
2009 - 10th September (140th match)

*This win would mark the beginning of the end for the '05 Overachievers - the start of a 3-match sweep of the Cubs at Wrigley, the last series they would win till 2nd/3rd/4th August when they took two of three from the Dodgers...it would all end with that disastrous home series against the Mets (lost 3 of 4) beginning with the 5-2 loss on the Fourth of July.

Probably not. Due for a slump. One thing his career proves so far is that streaks like he is on now are not sustainable.
