So not ready to replace our .412/.500/.912 hitting third baseman yet?

Only if you want to blow up the team.

Kieboom back in the lineup tonight, went 4-5 with a triple.  BA up to .333, OPS up to .924.

Yeah PWC, still a small sample size.

Followed up his monster game the other night by going 3-4, HR, 3Rbis, and a walk.  Now batting .375 with a 1.153 OPS

~200 more OPS points and he'll be able to catch his MLB big brother

I'll guess he's a 2d half call up if Dozier doesn't get going or if Trea is out longer than anticipated.

Very encouraging, although we should temper expectation a TINY bit since his early stats are based a little bit on a .600 BABIP :) But still, drawing walks and hitting for power - I'll take it!

Also temper it with the understanding that the entire team is raking, and it's likely they're facing some weak pitching.

And it's the PCL. Plus half their games so far have been in Salt Lake and Vegas, which are launch pads even by PCL standards (unless the new park in Vegas is meaningfully different in that respect, which seems unlikely).

Let's hope this misadventure didn't permanently stunt his development.

IT was what, 10 games, at a time that a tryout was feasible.  If you want to talk damage, look at Trout's first call up.

Trout hit almost a 100 points higher

Looks like he will never be much of a shortstop so maybe 3B. His hitting is no worse than Vlad junior who has been anointed the greatest hitting prospect ever.

well, it's not like we have any prospects ready next year at either 3B or 2B.  Garcia is at least another year or two away.  Maybe we sign Scooter Gennett next year?

Will Kieboom be permanently scarred by his callup or can he recover? That is the question.

3-16 since returning to Fresno, but has had a walk in every game since being back (he's actually had a walk in each of his last ten games).  OBP is .491, and he has 22 BBs in 23 total games at Fresno this year.

Wow! I’d have to say that was a pretty good week.

Like Natsinpwc, I have concerns with Kieboom playing in the middle of the infield. First thing he needs to do is have the trampoline removed from his glove then move over to 3b or even 1b. I love his bat but he lacks athleticism to play in the middle of the field “IMO”.
