McCarver was a really good catcher - He caught Bob Gipson

He was a Cardinals' catcher and is a Cardinals' broadcaster.     We're playin' the Cardinals.    We don't need to hear about him.    BTW, did yunz get any weather from the tropical storm in the OBs?

My son lives near St Louis, and is a 4th generation Senators / Nats fan. Also 4th gen Redskins fan. Also a suffering caps fan. His wife is a devoted Cardinals fan. Have to win today.

The stratosphere lol

(Image removed from quote.)

Looks like the picnic table area on the 3rd deck to me.    It's a great spot.    Food and beverages are readily available.   :)

Strassburg = Ace-man

I just wish he'd go more than 6 IP consistently.

Oh, I'm sure Dusty will keep him in a few more innings.

Classic DC hat summer day. Ace-man has red face, sweat. Bullpen time.

They need to move around.   There's a lot of pretty decent standing areas around the Park.

Well...if only the Nats had some lefty relief pitchers...what happened to Sean Burnett? Pitching for Minnesota's AAA team, but not much work. Is he hurt?

Game.  Another loss.  This one is on the bullpen and not taking advantage of a terrible starting pitcher.

They're probably gone already! My daughter is loving biking all around DC oh and she was seriously impressed with Rolling Thunder, did you meet up with VaRK there?

VaRK headed back before the ride.   Weather was comin' and he had a long ride home.   I'll send him some pictures.    He can post 'em if he likes in the RT thread.

Game. Brilliant idea to keep pitching Garcia away when he keeps going opposite field.

We do not escape this inning even tied.  Cards take the lead and do not look back.
