Anyone know what's up with him? He hasn't pitched since mid April and is on the DL. No mention of the injury.

Very intriguing bullpen arm, so he was someone I wanted to keep an eye on this year.

Just did a Twitter search and saw one guy say Hearn broke his ankle.

As far as I know he is a starter.

I had to look this guy up to see if you were calling him a Taylor, or if he really was a Taylor.

Thanks. I don't use Twitter. Just googled him a few times and couldn't find anything. Good to know its not an arm thing, although the ankle can take awhile to heal.

As far as I know he is a starter.

To log innings. He's missed a lot of developmental time before entering the pro ranks. I wouldn't rule him out as a starter, but I think he profiles as a power reliever with his fastball and slider.

Came back June 24th. No longer starting, and he's destined to be a BP arm. Decent numbers though:

26 IP, 24H, 6 ER, 12 BB/36 K, .247 avg, 2.08 ERA

I really like this kid. His last 12.2 IP have been video game-like.

Anyone want to add some basic bio on him, with some links, and do more or less a first post of an FTP thread for him?  I can do a sneaky thing and copy it into an old post of yours that is before May, change the title of it, and turn it into the first post of an FTP thread (or else RD can just edit the first one if he'd like).

GCL/Hagerstown. He started 2 games after coming back from the ankle (?) injury (3 IP, 3.1 IP), and has thrown > 1 IP in each of his appearances.

I can write up the standard stuff today and RD or JCA can edit it in.

It looks like he's throwing 3 IP in relief every 4 or 5 days now.  Should be due to pitch today in a day game (10:35 AM!).

Good point. Look at how many pitchers HAG has on their roster right now -- I bet the FO is asking for 2-4 IP from multiple guys to possibly stretch out next season.

A lot of clubs will use their relief prospects for multiple innings to stretch out their arms and give them the chance to work on secondary pitches
