Mets win again, Nats lose again. Mets only 1 game back despite the Nats' "hot start".

Speakin' of which  ...  mods  ....  lock this thread when the game's over.   It deserves no longer life.

Wow, our offense consisted of a bloop double and a bunt that was barely beat out. Just wow.

A no-no and 16 runs, a la the Cubbies, isn't worse? Could happen

Once again these clowns couldn't care less about winning. Just keep collecting your immense paychecks and that's all that matters. Highway robbery.

Yeah, but with the 4:00 start it would be out of hand by the time I got home and I wouldn't have to watch.

nice dig at Rendon at Taylor 'Not everyone can hit it front of Harp and the guys hitting in front of Harper still aren't hitting anyways.' after being asked if he will shuffle the lineup

Rendon, at his current rate of RBI 'production', will finish the season with 8 RBIs....wow....
Zimmerman has clearly been taking AB lessons from Desmond, diving for every kind of dogshyte pitch in the dirt while watching strikes...
Werth still has his rusty gate, powerless swing....
Espi his usual unproductive self....
Taylor needs to be on a bus to Syracuse today....first pitch hacking by a sub .200 whiffer should be punished, not tolerated...
Lobaton is lost...
Ramos is Mr. Grounder to the Infield
Murphy is trying to play 'Beat the Ump'...

Only Harper is consistent.....the rest are just plain bad....the Nats will soon occupy third place, where they will stay and rot for the entire season....

Well, let's be fair now.  We were facing a Cy Young winner in his prime with Hellickson.

but you need more than that

they rolled the dice on last years people

teams will just walk harper

almost every team would come out ahead by walking Harper...who can hit behind him? Or in front of him? Do teams fear Zimmerman for some reason? Just toss him low, outside garbage and he's done. Even if the bases were (miraculously) loaded, walking Harper would be cheap insurance.
